The Provincial Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) held its 1st Quarter Meeting on January 22, 2025, via Zoom, with representatives from various agencies discussing critical gender-related initiatives and policies.
Presided over by Mr. Angelo Amor Peñalba, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator, the body tackled updates on previous agreements, the nomination of a Provincial GAD Focal Person, and GAD Audit 2025 indicators. The body also discussed the guidelines for GAD Plan and Budget preparations, report orientation, and adoption of Social Protection Plan 2023-2028.
The meeting concluded with the reaffirmation of the commitment to advancing gender-sensitive policies in the province. Future meetings will focus on finalizing key nominations and strengthening gender advocacy initiatives.
